STOCKS | Pacific Fusion Builds New Mexico Facility for Nuclear Weapons Testing

Pacific Fusion is building a fusion facility in Albuquerque, New Mexico, to support U.S. nuclear weapons testing and nuclear modernization. According to Sina Finance, the startup said the facility will be able to simulate a full nuclear explosion environment by the end of this decade. The company said the setup could help verify whether nuclear weapons stored for decades still work properly, test component reliability, and check whether new warheads perform as designed without restarting explosive nuclear tests. Pacific Fusion CTO Keith Lechien said the site will soon look very different. The project uses 156 modular units, each about the size of a shipping container, and the modules are being manufactured at a plant in San Leandro, California. The article said the facility is intended to help the United States maintain and modernize its nuclear arsenal, while also designing and producing new nuclear weapons.
