Vietnam Delays $67 Billion North-South High-Speed Rail Start to Late 2027

Vietnam has delayed the start of its $67 billion North-South high-speed rail project until late 2027, one year later than originally planned. According to Sina Finance, Tran Hong Minh, Vietnam's Minister of Construction, said on the ministry's website that the project is progressing more slowly than expected and is mainly affected by objective factors. He also called for a more detailed implementation plan, clear deadlines, and dedicated responsibility for land clearance, consulting, surveying, and construction work to speed up the project.
