According to Jin10, U.S. tech reporter Gurman said Apple plans to announce a new Apple Watch app called Readiness at its "Awe Dropping" event on Wednesday. The app will be a derivative of the existing Vitals App, which combines key health metrics including average heart rate, respiratory rate, blood oxygen level, wrist temperature, and sleep duration from the previous night. Readiness is expected to use many of the same metrics to further assess a user's recovery and whether the body is fit for activity. The new app is intended to compete more effectively with screenless health-tracking devices from Whoop and Oura.
