BYD Plans To Export More Than 2.5 Million Vehicles In 2027

BYD shares fell 2.3% to HK$81.9, with about 5.37 million shares traded, after Bloomberg reported the automaker plans to export more than 2.5 million vehicles in 2027. According to ETNet, a Deutsche Bank report based on an investor briefing on Monday said BYD also raised its 2026 overseas sales target to 1.9 million to 2 million vehicles from 1.5 million. BYD exported only about 45,000 vehicles in 2022. The company is expanding in Europe, Latin America, Southeast Asia and Australia, and its August sales rose 18% year on year while exports more than doubled to 43% of total deliveries.
