Global Stocks Mostly Fall; Hang Seng Index Slips 0.38%

Major global equity benchmarks mostly declined, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average down 0.51%, the S&P 500 off 0.38% and the Nasdaq Composite lower by 0.29%, according to ETNet. In Asia, the Hang Seng Index fell 0.38% to 25,317.18 and the Hang Seng China Enterprises Index also lost 0.38% to 8,397.32. The Shanghai Composite rose 0.20%, while the CSI 300 dropped 0.36% and Japan's Nikkei 225 fell 1.70%. ETNet noted that the Hang Seng Index, Hang Seng China Enterprises Index, Shanghai Composite, CSI 300 and Nikkei 225 were closed.
