According to the BBC, Ukraine's chief prosecutor Ruslan Kravchenko has resigned after corruption allegations linked to illegal call centres, following a weekend search of his offices by anti-corruption investigators. Ukraine's National Anti-Corruption Bureau and Specialised Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office said they identified a money-laundering scheme led by an official in Kravchenko's office, while Kravchenko denied wrongdoing and said he did not want his post to be used as a tool for political confrontation. The agencies said the network received money to protect call centres that ran phone scams and laundered millions in assets, with the proceeds used to buy property, jewellery and other valuables. Corruption has remained a major issue in Kyiv during the war with Russia, and last month Nabu said it uncovered a scheme to misappropriate more than $3m (£2.2m) to pay bail for a former energy minister accused of money laundering.
