Susquehanna International Group plans to expand its Hong Kong office to about three times its current size as it steps up hiring and seeks to deepen its presence in Asia and China’s exchange-traded fund market, according to ETNet.
Reuters, citing people familiar with the matter, said the Philadelphia-based quantitative trading firm has been looking for new office space in Hong Kong over the past few weeks. One option under consideration is three floors at Cheung Kong Center II in Central, covering more than 50,000 square feet, but the relocation plan has not been finalised.
SIG currently occupies less than 20,000 square feet at AIA Central in Central. The sources said the firm is actively looking for opportunities across China’s asset markets, with particular interest in the fast-growing ETF market, to support its global business expansion.
