Hengtong Optic-Electric Posts 93.38% Net Profit Growth as Revenue Rises 31.13% in H1

Hengtong Optic-Electric reported first-half 2026 revenue of 42.026 billion yuan, up 31.13% year on year, and net profit attributable to shareholders of 3.12 billion yuan, up 93.38%, according to Jiemian News. The company said its optical communications business revenue rose more than 130% and its gross margin exceeded 60%, but it did not disclose the segment’s absolute revenue or share of sales. The company also said its operating cash flow turned negative, with net cash from operating activities at minus 865 million yuan in the first half, compared with minus 194 million yuan in the first quarter. Inventories rose to 10.854 billion yuan at the end of June from 9.465 billion yuan at the end of March, while notes and accounts receivable increased to 24.118 billion yuan from 21.504 billion yuan. On August 27, Hengtong Optic-Electric closed at 71.30 yuan a share, near the daily limit-up, after rising 56% from its recent low. The company’s market value was 175.9 billion yuan. Jiemian News also reported that Zhang Jianping newly became the fifth-largest shareholder with 34.4161 million shares, while the total number of shareholders jumped 270% from the end of 2025 to 590,600 at the end of June.
