China Customs to Push Seamless Clearance and Integrated Logistics in the 15th Five-Year Plan

At a July 22 State Council Information Office briefing, Zhang Baofeng, deputy head of China's General Administration of Customs, said the agency will promote regulatory integration into corporate logistics and industrial chains, along with more seamless customs clearance during the 15th Five-Year Plan period, according to 36Kr. He said the measures are intended to improve connectivity across sea, inland waterway and rail information systems and help companies cut costs and boost efficiency. Zhang added that container transfers between port and rail in many ports now take less than 30 minutes, and overall transshipment costs have fallen by 20% compared with previous levels.
