Polymarket traders pushed the probability of the CLARITY Act becoming law this year to 35% on July 17, up from a low of 24% on July 13. The contract had approached 74% in May before falling to 48% in June as negotiations slowed.
According to Odaily, Senate Republicans plan to release the final text of the CLARITY Act after meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump. Senator Bernie Moreno said the updated text will be released after the meeting, with Senate floor consideration targeted for the week of July 20.
The bill needs 60 votes in the Senate. Republicans currently hold 53 seats and would need support from at least seven Democrats. Democratic negotiators said the draft set to be submitted to the floor is not the version they agreed to, and the dispute centers on ethics provisions related to Trump's commercial interests in the crypto industry.
