Webull EU has received a Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) license from the Dutch regulator, positioning it to expand into regulated crypto services in Europe. According to ChainCatcher, Finance Magnates reported the approval is among the first notable crypto licensing cases after the transition period ended on July 1.
Webull said it plans to use the license to roll out crypto trading and custody services in Europe by the end of 2026.
Andries van Luijk, CEO of Webull Securities (Europe), described the license as a milestone in the company’s European expansion under the EU’s unified regulatory framework.
The report added that the number of licensed crypto institutions in Europe has risen to nearly 200 since MiCA took effect.
