SMR Startup Weilan Zhidian Raises Several Hundred Million Yuan Across Three Rounds

Shanghai-based Weilan Zhidian, a startup focused on commercializing small modular nuclear reactors (SMRs), has completed three financing rounds—angel, angel+ and pre-Series A—raising a total of several hundred million yuan, according to 36Kr. The company said the proceeds will be used for technology development, collaboration with the traditional nuclear power supply chain, and team building. Weilan Zhidian was founded in 2025. Its angel round was led by Inno Angel Fund with participation from the Shuimu Tsinghua Alumni Seed Fund; the angel+ round was led by Photosynthesis Ventures, with Inno Angel Fund, Borui Capital and other investors joining. The pre-Series A round was again led by Photosynthesis Ventures, with participation from investors including CDH Investments, Northern Light Venture Capital, Vertex Ventures and Borui Capital. Yuefeng Capital served as exclusive financial adviser for the latter two rounds.
