Leandro Trossard scored twice as Belgium beat New Zealand 5-1 in Vancouver to book a place in the World Cup knockout stage, according to Yahoo Sports. Trossard opened the scoring in the 28th minute after a Kevin de Bruyne corner bounced in the six-yard box, and he added his second five minutes after the break following another De Bruyne pass. De Bruyne made it 3-0 in the 66th minute with a left-foot shot from 20 yards before Elijah Just pulled one back for New Zealand. Substitute Romelu Lukaku restored Belgium’s three-goal lead with a header 56 seconds after coming on, and Alexis Saelemaekers added a fifth in injury time. With Egypt failing to beat Iran, Belgium topped Group G on goal difference and, as it stands, will face South Korea in the last 32, while New Zealand went out with one point from three games.
