Tempo has launched MPP Credits, allowing developers to fund AI agents using credit cards, debit cards, Apple Pay, or Google Pay to pay Machine Payments Protocol (MPP) service fees without first transferring stablecoins into a Tempo wallet. According to Foresight News, purchased MPP Credits are stored in the Tempo wallet and can be used across all services that support MPP.
Merchants are settled in real time on Tempo using USDC.e. The feature is supported by licensed payment service provider Coinflow.
Tempo said the credits are prepaid, non-refundable, and limited to MPP services.
MPP is an open standard for machine payments jointly developed by Stripe and Tempo, designed to allow AI agents to autonomously pay for API services such as large language model inference, computing resources, and data.
