World Shifts to Utility-Driven Growth in Phase Three of “The Simple Plan”

World said it has entered the third phase of its “The Simple Plan,” described as reaching critical scale and initial utility, and will shift its growth model from early token incentives to utility-driven expansion. According to Foresight News, the company is focusing on three main scenarios to advance adoption of World ID: enterprise use, consumer use, and AI agent use. On the enterprise side, World said it is working with Zoom, Okta, and DocuSign to roll out products including Deep Face. For consumers, it cited use cases such as Tinder verifying real humans and Concert Kit reserving tickets for verified attendees. For AI agents, World said it has launched AgentKit to support human delegation and verification. Operationally, World said it will concentrate resources in a limited number of high-density, high-utility cities, including San Francisco and New York in the United States, as well as locations in the United Kingdom, Germany, Japan, and South Korea. It also plans to reduce the physical operating footprint in non-priority regions. On hardware, World said the next-generation Orb will move toward a self-service model, with a goal of reaching 95% self-service operations by the end of 2026. World also said World ID 4.0 introduces a fee mechanism that allows credential issuers and the protocol to charge users through World ID, while end users can continue to use the protocol for free.
