Ethereum Developers Propose Native Privacy Transfers

Ethereum developer Tom Lehman has introduced a draft proposal for EIP-8182, aiming to integrate privacy transfers as a native feature of the Ethereum protocol. According to Foresight News, the proposal's key design elements include deploying a shared shielding pool with a fixed address at the protocol layer, adding precompiled zero-knowledge proof verification, and upgrading solely through hard forks without administrator keys or governance tokens, maintaining Ethereum's existing trust model.
