DGrid AI has announced the launch of its AI inference API, which integrates the x402 payment protocol. According to ChainCatcher, this API uniquely combines payment logic with AI model invocation, allowing developers and AI agents to authorize, infer, and pay within a single API request lifecycle without managing complex API keys or centralized account prepayments. The API currently supports BNB Chain (BSC) as the underlying settlement network. Utilizing the micropayment features of the x402 protocol, the system ensures low-friction, on-chain real-time settlement while keeping invocation costs controlled. It is compatible with mainstream AI invocation methods and supports streaming responses and real-time usage feedback.
