Macau's tourism and gaming sectors are preparing for a surge in activity during the nine-day Lunar New Year holiday period. According to Ming Pao, the chairman of the Macau Tourism Industry Council, Hu Jingguang, expects daily visitor numbers to reach between 160,000 and 170,000. The local gaming industry is also optimistic about the holiday period, predicting a significant increase in both visitor numbers and revenue. February's gaming revenue is projected to rise to between 22 billion and 23 billion Macau patacas. Galaxy Entertainment Group has reported that hotel bookings are nearly full, contributing to a steady growth in gaming revenue.
