According to CNBC, prediction markets favored Democrats to flip both chambers of Congress before the first polls closed at 6:00 p.m. ET Tuesday. Democrats had won 54 Senate seats so far, including Iowa, where markets had put the race at 50-50, and South Carolina, where Republicans had been narrow favorites. In the outstanding Mississippi and Alaska races, markets gave Democrats Scott Colom and Mary Peltola 90% odds of winning. Polymarket said it called 10 key races a median 31 minutes before CNN, Fox News and the Associated Press. Kalshi spokesperson Jack Such said the platform made confident calls when a candidate’s odds exceeded 99% and trading on the opponent had dried up.

According to CNBC, Figma shares fell 7% in extended trading after the company reported third-quarter earnings and guidance that beat analysts’ estimates. Adjusted earnings were 10 cents per share, versus 5 cents expected, and revenue was $391.4 million, compared with $375.8 million expected. Revenue grew about 43% year over year, while the net loss narrowed to $81.3 million, or 15 cents per share, from $1.10 billion, or $2.72 per share, a year earlier. Figma’s 12% adjusted operating margin exceeded the 6.1% analyst consensus. The company raised its full-year operating margin forecast to 11% from 9% and its revenue forecast to $1.497 billion to $1.499 billion from $1.463 billion to $1.467 billion. Analysts had expected $1.471 billion in 2026 revenue. For the fourth quarter, Figma expects revenue growth of about 33%, compared with analysts’ forecast of 28%.
