Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev said companies should not have veto power over tokenized stock products that do not change shareholder rights, issuer obligations or a company’s official stock ledger. According to Cointelegraph, Tenev said in a post on X on Friday that the need for issuer consent depends on whether a tokenized product alters the rights attached to the underlying shares or creates new obligations for the company or its transfer agent. If it does, he said the issuer should be involved. However, he added that if the product creates a separate financial instrument that holds or references freely transferable shares without changing the issuer’s rights, obligations or shareholder record, issuer consent should not be required. The comments came after AMC Entertainment CEO Adam Aron criticized Robinhood’s tokenized stock offerings on Sept. 4, saying AMC had no affiliation with the products and would ask securities counsel to review them. Tenev said Robinhood Stock Tokens use a third-party structure, with separately issued instruments backed 1:1 by underlying shares. He said the products provide economic exposure to stocks and exchange-traded funds without changing an issuer’s cap table or the rights attached to its shares. Tenev added that going onchain should not give the issuer a veto it never had offchain.

Dunhuang Network brought Tarik Deliktas and nearly 40 overseas influencers to Guangzhou and Shenzhen in early September to look for Chinese factories that can co-develop products, according to Jiemian News. Dunhuang Network, founded in 2004, is repositioning itself as a platform for early-stage co-creation. Vice President Yi Xixu told Jiemian News that the company now aims to serve as a "business container driven by community co-creation," with influencers, factories, designers and marketing partners jointly defining and developing products. The company is also exploring monetization through membership and connection services, independent-store setup, traffic promotion, distribution support and, in deeper partnerships, brand development with shared returns and risk. The report said Dunhuang Network has already tested the model with creator Ryan, who came to China in July to explore a fashion brand. The announcement also explains how users can begin trading Stock Options on Binance. Users must complete the Options Suitability Quiz and sign the Disclaimer before opening an account, and those who have not opened Stocks before can open Stocks and Options together in one step. To trade, users should go to the Stock kline page, select the Options tab between Overview and Financials, choose an expiration date and strike price from the options chain, and place a limit order by entering a limit price and quantity in contracts. Binance said only limit orders are supported in Phase 1. Users can monitor positions on the Stock Trading Page or in their Funding Account, where Position Details provide PnL, Greeks, and other information. The announcement also notes that users can check whether a specific stock supports options trading by looking for the Options tab on the Stock kline page. Oman’s energy minister said alternative routes are needed so liquefied natural gas shipments can bypass the Strait of Hormuz. According to Sina Finance, Salim Al-Aufi made the remarks on Monday at the International Gas Technology Conference in Bangkok, saying other export options should be found, whether by shipping north or via Oman and Yemen. His comments came as Abu Dhabi National Oil Company considers building a new LNG export facility outside the Strait of Hormuz. According to Sina Finance, about one-fifth of the world’s cryogenic LNG supply normally passes through the key waterway, while Oman currently operates an LNG export plant in its eastern region that does not need to go through the strait.

According to The Korea Herald, HD Hyundai E&F has completed a 435 billion won ($323 million) liquefied natural gas cogeneration plant at the Daesan petrochemical complex in Seosan, South Chungcheong Province. The HD Hyundai Oilbank subsidiary said Monday that the facility can generate 290 megawatts of electricity and produce up to 321 metric tons of steam per hour.
