Matter Labs said its institutional privacy-chain platform, Prividium, has completed a SOC 2 Type II audit covering security, availability, confidentiality and privacy. According to Foresight News, the audit was conducted by Thoropass Assurance, an independent auditor recognized by the AICPA. The Type I audit, completed in the first half of this year, assessed the design of controls as of May 29. The Type II audit tested whether those controls operated effectively from July 1 to September 30, 2026. Matter Labs said banks and regulated institutions typically require a Type II report for vendor risk reviews before a platform goes live. The report will be shared with customers and qualified prospective customers after they sign a nondisclosure agreement. The SOC 2 certification was one of the deliverables in ZKsync governance proposal TPP-18. A Q3 report had listed it as in progress; it is now complete.

Brazil’s farming sector was already facing record defaults, and last week’s election results deepened the gloom among growers hoping for a swift turnaround, according to Bloomberg.

Associated British Foods reported full-year revenue of £19.58 billion, up from £19.46 billion in the previous financial year, while pretax profit fell 10% to £1.28 billion. According to Sina Finance, the company is moving ahead with plans to separate Primark from its food business, with the split expected to be completed in December 2027. Primark’s annual sales rose 2% to £9.8 billion. The group’s food division includes food ingredients, sugar, agriculture, and grocery businesses. Its sugar business recorded an adjusted operating loss of £47 million, which the company attributed to lower average selling prices in Europe, and it expects the loss to widen to between £70 million and £170 million in the next financial year. Associated British Foods also lowered its grocery business outlook, revising its September guidance. It now expects grocery EBIT to be broadly in line with the previous year, rather than slightly above the 2026 financial year. Barclays analyst Matthew Clements said the downgrade reflected a slower-than-expected decline in cocoa prices and a difficult consumer environment that squeezed margins. He wrote that although the lower outlook was disappointing, it would not significantly worsen overall market sentiment.

According to Jin10, U.S. financial media outlet Semafor reported that OpenAI is trying to redefine “data centers” after the midterm elections and set a new tone for AI policy discussions, but has faced a cool reception and setbacks in some circles, including among members of Congress. Earlier media reports said OpenAI had pursued a multipronged policy strategy: calling data centers “compute campuses” and seeking community input on construction plans; comparing AI regulation to car speed limits while emphasizing AI’s benefits in daily life; and promoting global AI standards.
