Helium developer Nova Labs has acquired open source 5G company FreedomFi for an undisclosed price, CoinDesk reported. FreedomFi is the sole manufacturer and long-term collaborator of the decentralized wireless communication network Helium 5G gateway, the gateway host can conduct HNT mining by providing 5G cellular coverage. Foresight News previously reported that in March FreedomFi completed a US$9.5 million Series A round of financing led by Blueyard Capital, Samsung’s Next Venture Capital and Qualcomm Ventures.
