Deutsche Bank's AI Dollar Warning Could Hit Bitcoin, Gold and Stocks

Deutsche Bank warned that an AI-led selloff could weaken the U.S. dollar alongside stocks, challenging the dollar’s usual safe-haven role when equities fall. Foreign investors own more than $20 trillion in U.S. shares, with about 90% of that value attributed to price appreciation, according to BeInCrypto. Deutsche Bank’s George Saravelos said falling U.S. real yields alongside weaker stocks and the dollar would signal markets cutting AI spending forecasts; Friday’s trading did not show that mix, as the dollar edged higher. Bitcoin and gold, both priced in dollars, could also be affected.
