According to CNBC, shares of fast-fashion company Shein fell as much as 10% in Hong Kong after one of its contact lens products was recalled in Australia and New Zealand. New Zealand's Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment said a sample of the lenses tested positive for Burkholderia cepacia complex, a bacterial contaminant found in the solution used to package the lenses, and warned exposure could cause eye infection or irritation. The ministry also said an incident was reported in the United Kingdom involving a user who developed an eye infection. The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission issued a similar recall. Shein's Hong Kong-listed shares were 9.49% lower at HK$36.26.
