Tether has launched a private credit fund called StableFund with technology-focused private credit asset manager Fasanara Capital. According to Odaily, the two firms are providing $400 million in anchor investment and plan to attract up to $3 billion in third-party institutional capital.
The fund will focus on short-duration, asset-backed credit for small and medium-sized enterprises. Fasanara Capital will serve as investment manager and allocate assets through a fintech lending network spanning more than 60 countries, while Tether will act as co-sponsor, asset originator, and adviser, identifying USD₮-linked financing opportunities and providing stablecoin settlement, on- and off-ramp, and treasury infrastructure.
