China Galaxy Securities said electronic fiberglass yarn prices have been raised on a monthly basis, while the overall roving market has stabilized, according to Jiemian News. For roving, supply increased in some regions in June but had limited impact nationwide; companies’ product-mix adjustments kept inventory pressure manageable, while rigid demand was average and overall demand support remained weak. With no major supply-demand swings, roving producers largely kept June quotations steady. The brokerage expects social inventories to stay low, with downstream processors replenishing mainly based on orders; however, with no clear supply cuts, roving prices may come under pressure.
For electronic yarn, prices for electronic yarn/fabric rose again in early June. Supply increased slightly, but downstream copper-clad laminate (CCL) orders grew further, keeping the market in a supply-short condition. The report said electronic yarn/fabric prices were raised again in early July, and producers are currently at zero inventory, suggesting further upside potential as tight supply-demand conditions persist.
