Americans Traded $571 Million on Polymarket Politic Bets Despite U.S. Ban

U.S.-linked wallets traded $571 million in notional value across Polymarket’s political markets in the trailing 12 months, despite the platform blocking U.S. users by IP address, according to CoinDesk, citing a report by onchain analysis firm Allium. Allium said its country tags are based on onchain behavior and cover about 6% of political-market wallets, making the figures directional. Geopolitics accounted for 46% of U.S. notional versus 36% platform-wide; five of the U.S. cohort’s 12 biggest markets were bets on the Iran war.
