According to Jin10, Australian media cited a confidential tender document saying Anthropic plans to bring at least 1.0 gigawatt of capacity online no later than the end of next year. The report said the AI company’s baseline plan is to find long-term partners to jointly build a data center campus with a total scale of 1.4 gigawatts. Anthropic is about six weeks away from making a final investment decision, and the deal may be split into four to five smaller partnership contracts.
