Polymarket odds for a multi-option market on which team LeBron James will play for next season shifted sharply, with the Philadelphia 76ers rising to 18% from 0.3% two days earlier. According to Odaily, the Golden State Warriors fell to 18%, down 16% over the past 24 hours, while the Cleveland Cavaliers stood at 41%, up 1% over the past 24 hours.
The report said the 76ers have met James’ recruitment requirements after completing the core objectives of signing Ben Simmons and executing a Jaylen Brown trade.
ESPN reporter Brian Windhorst said James has made clear that any team recruiting him must first make substantive roster upgrades. The report added that if James ultimately joins Philadelphia, the 76ers could field a starting lineup of Tyrese Maxey, Edgecombe, Jaylen Brown, James, and Joel Embiid next season.
