U.S. Dollar Index Rises 0.2% Against Major Currencies

The U.S. Dollar Index, which measures the dollar against six major currencies, increased by 0.2% on May 26, closing at 99.169. According to ChainCatcher, the exchange rate for 1 euro fell to 1.1629 dollars from the previous day's 1.1644 dollars. The British pound also decreased, with 1 pound exchanging for 1.3445 dollars, down from 1.3507 dollars. Meanwhile, the dollar strengthened against the Japanese yen, trading at 159.33 yen compared to 158.9 yen the previous day. The dollar also rose against the Swiss franc, Canadian dollar, and Swedish krona, with exchange rates of 0.7857 francs, 1.3813 Canadian dollars, and 9.3198 krona, respectively, all higher than the previous day's rates.
