The Ethereum Foundation has announced that applications for the Ethereum Protocol Fellowship Cohort 7 (EPF7) are now open, with a deadline of May 13. According to Odaily, the program aims to train engineers to participate in the development of Ethereum's core protocol, focusing on key network attributes such as censorship resistance, open-source nature, privacy, and security. It will emphasize client implementation, protocol specification, testing, and cutting-edge research.
EPF7 will adopt a 'small-scale, high-density' model, reducing the number of participants to enhance mentorship depth and project contribution quality. The program will run from June to November, offering selected participants guidance from the Ethereum core developer community. Some participants will receive monthly stipends to focus on protocol development work. The project aims to deliver long-term contributors to the Ethereum core research team and foster substantial achievements in client development and protocol research.
The EPF team will host an online briefing on May 6 at 15:00 UTC to further explain project details and answer application-related questions.
