In its IPO filing, SpaceX stated that orbital AI computing and its industrialization efforts on the Moon and Mars are still in their early stages, involving significant technological complexities that may prevent commercialization. Elon Musk has previously stated that space-based AI computing is the obvious choice, believing that orbit could become the lowest-cost location for AI within two to three years. The filing warns that orbital AI data centers operate in the harsh and unpredictable space environment, and systems are prone to failure. Furthermore, delays in Starship development may also limit the company's growth strategy. SpaceX currently targets a valuation of approximately $1.75 trillion and plans to raise $75 billion in the coming months.
