Deribit FZE obtained Dubai virtual asset service provider license, Luuk Strijers was appointed as Deribit’s new CEO
According to official news, Deribit FZE, a Dubai-based entity of Deribit Group, announced that it has obtained a conditional virtual asset service provider (VASP) license for VA trading services from the Dubai Virtual Asset Regulatory Authority (VARA), covering spot and derivatives transactions. The company is currently moving its global headquarters to Dubai and has appointed Luuk Strijers as CEO and two non-executive directors. The company will work closely with VARA to complete the final formal steps that will enable it to officially launch the exchange in Dubai. Once operational, Deribit will serve institutional and accredited investors. The company will also continue to serve the retail client base of its brokerage in Panama, currently part of Dubai Deribit FZE, until further notice. Deribit will soon share launch plans, terms and exact timing for commencing operations under the new authorized entity.
