Tahe Music Receives CSRC Overseas Listing Feedback on Hong Kong IPO Filing
Tahe Music Receives CSRC Overseas Listing Feedback on Hong Kong IPO Filing
Tahe Music has received feedback from China's securities regulator on its overseas listing filing, with the China Securities Regulatory Commission's International Department asking the company to supplement disclosures and have lawyers verify the matters and issue clear legal opinions, according to Jiemian News. The questions cover the paid-in status of domestic operating entities' registered capital, the basis for past capital increases and equity transfers, whether any capital contribution obligations were unmet, whether there were nominee shareholding arrangements, and whether the company's domestic business involves foreign investment restricted or prohibited sectors. The regulator also asked Tahe Music to explain the compliance of its offshore structure and round-trip investment, including foreign exchange, outbound investment, foreign investment and tax procedures, as well as the fairness of transaction consideration and whether related transferors fulfilled tax filing obligations. It further requested details on the legality of the equity incentive plan, possible benefit transfers or disputes, the use of a trust structure, and the basic information of the trust and related domestic entities. In addition, the company was asked to disclose the circumstances and rectification measures related to administrative penalties imposed on Chengdu Tahe by the Chengdu Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism, and to clarify whether the Hong Kong listing is a spin-off of a Nasdaq- and Hong Kong-listed company and, if so, whether the parent and spun-off unit are operationally independent.

Jewish Communities' Security Costs Top $1 Billion A Year
Jewish Communities' Security Costs Top $1 Billion A Year
According to Axios, Jewish communal institutions in the United States are spending an estimated $1.02 billion a year on security, a record high, according to new data from the Jewish Federations of North America (JFNA). The estimate is up 33% from $765 million in 2024 and covers more than 4,500 synagogues, Jewish community centers, schools, summer camps and other nonprofits, which spend an average of about $225,000 each. Security personnel account for the largest share, while about $150 million goes to security technology and building hardening, including cameras, reinforced doors and controlled-entry systems. The estimate does not include costs at more than 1,600 kosher restaurants, about 500 kosher markets and groceries, or other privately owned Jewish businesses. Axios reported that the higher spending comes as antisemitic assaults have reached their highest level since the Anti-Defamation League began tracking them in 1979. Community Security Service CEO Richard Priem said there is now more capability protecting the Jewish community than there was a few years ago, while JFNA CEO Eric Fingerhut said every dollar spent on guards and cameras is a dollar not spent on Jewish education. The article also said FEMA has made $300 million available through the FY 2026 Nonprofit Security Grant Program, and that a bipartisan bill in Congress would authorize $1 billion annually from FY 2027 through FY 2031 for the program and loosen limits on using the money for security personnel.

Citrini Founder Who Rattled Markets Sells Firm to SemiAnalysis, Plans New Fund
Citrini Founder Who Rattled Markets Sells Firm to SemiAnalysis, Plans New Fund
James van Geelen, founder of independent investment-research shop Citrini Research, has sold the firm to semiconductor and AI researcher SemiAnalysis, according to Bloomberg. Van Geelen and SemiAnalysis Chief Executive Officer Dylan Patel confirmed the sale on Friday, adding that van Geelen will stay on as Citrini's CEO for now. The sale price could not immediately be determined. "I'm excited about what the future holds for independent investment research," van Geelen said. Separately, he plans to launch a new fund, people familiar with the matter said, though he declined to comment on it. New York-based Citrini, whose research has some 260,000 Substack subscribers, made its name earlier this year when van Geelen posted a note titled "The 2028 Global Intelligence Crisis," imagining a future in which AI wipes out white-collar jobs so fast the economy cannot absorb the blow. The report sent shockwaves through markets and hit software stocks in particular. SemiAnalysis, founded in 2020, has become an industry go-to for semiconductor research. Patel said research is changing and that the way firms have historically done it is "kludgy, old, slow and not democratized to the world." He said van Geelen has the largest finance-business Substack along with other operations, and the deal is about scaling SemiAnalysis's research to be among the best in a new era in which research is democratized and can be done by people themselves.
