United States lawmakers are on track to pass legislation setting rules for stablecoins and cryptocurrency market structure by as soon as August, Kristin Smith, CEO of industry advocacy group the Blockchain Association, said during Blockworks’ 2025 Digital Asset Summit in New York. According to Odaily, Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell stated that if the economy remains robust, the Federal Reserve can maintain a restrained policy for a longer period. Conversely, if the labor market weakens, the Fed is prepared to ease policies as necessary. Powell also noted signs of increased tightening in the monetary markets.
