Actor Wang Xing's Case In Myanmar Sparks Investigation Into Fake Chat Screenshots
According to Foresight News, the recent incident involving actor Wang Xing being deceived into traveling to Myanmar has garnered significant attention. The SlowMist security team conducted an investigation into chat screenshots circulating on social media, which mentioned Wang Xing being 'onboarded' and demanded a security fee of 14,000 USDT, along with a cryptocurrency address. The investigation revealed that these screenshots were fabricated and not directly related to Wang Xing's case. The SlowMist team analyzed the cryptocurrency address (TAiv3gxSGkf7x...gAB6FU4XV5HPn) mentioned in the screenshots. Since September 2024, this address has received a total of 2.22 million USDT, with the most recent transaction occurring on January 12, 2025. According to the timeline released by the Thai Immigration Bureau on January 7, Wang Xing entered Thailand at 3:16 AM local time (UTC+7) on January 3 and left Suvarnabhumi Airport by car at 3:40 AM, subsequently going missing around 11 AM. An analysis of transactions related to this address around the time of Wang Xing's disappearance showed no income transactions involving 14,000 USDT. Furthermore, discrepancies in the chat screenshot times, with the chat time showing 02:46 and the image time showing 19:46, further confirmed the screenshots were fake. The SlowMist security team advises users to remain vigilant when encountering information online and to verify facts to avoid falling for rumors.
