About KNFT

The journey of the project ‘KStarNFT’ begins with the aim to fulfill the K-pop fans’ desire to connect with their favorite artists and own the goods. K-pop fandoms have a strong notion that you are a ‘true fan’ only if you buy the goods of their favorite stars. For example, when an artist releases an album, EP, or single, fans think that they must help its success by purchasing physical copies to make it reach No.1 on the music charts. That’s part of the fan activity. The phenomenon explains how the Korean cultural content market size is expected to be 70.9 billion USD by 2023. Also, K-pop artists such as BTS, and Blackpink’s merchandise market size exceeded US$132 million. Notably, K-pop market sales are generated overseas for the most part. According to data available on the Financial Supervisory Service's electronic disclosure system as of Monday, Hybe, which manages BTS, Seventeen, and Enhypen, saw domestic sales account for only 24.96 percent out of US$390 million in its total sales in the first half of this year.Nevertheless, the Korean cultural market’s peak is yet to come as there are still obstacles for fans to hop on this hype, especially for global fans. Such issues include fake concert tickets, unlicensed merchandise, payment, delivery issue, etc. Hence global fans around the world are always seeking seamless means to own their favorite artists’ goods that are authentic and can be easily acknowledged by others. The fans need to obtain the goods more easily and be acknowledged by others and even connect with the artists can be achieved with NFT technologies. Fans can easily purchase NFT concert tickets with their crypto assets without a banking system and purchase NFT that is most transparent. In an aim to offer the fans a most advanced way to own goods and connect with their artists, KStarNFT introduces NFT that presents world-famous K-pop idols, actors, models, and celebrities to fans around the world through KStarNFT's various partners such as broadcasting stations, entertainment labels, and magazine groups. Co-founder Chen Xi said in July that Gino 1 is planned to enter small-batch production and delivery in the third quarter, with customer proof-of-concept trials to follow.

South Korea’s Leveraged ETF Trading in Samsung and SK Hynix Falls After Tighter Rules
South Korea’s Leveraged ETF Trading in Samsung and SK Hynix Falls After Tighter Rules
South Korea’s higher funding thresholds and tighter trading restrictions have sharply reduced leveraged trading tied to Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix, while some market participants worry the restricted funds could shift to index or overseas leveraged ETFs. According to Odaily, regulators are still watching whether the measures will curb trading activity. Eight SK Hynix-linked products saw net sales of about 1.2415 trillion won, while eight Samsung Electronics-linked products recorded net sales of 531.6 billion won. Average daily turnover for the 16 products fell from about 1.16787 trillion won from their May listing through July 30 to about 100.59 billion won after August began, a drop of more than 90%. The tightening began on July 31, when South Korean financial regulators raised the base margin requirement for single-stock leveraged ETFs from 10 million won to 30 million won. From August 19, investors must also complete simulated trading before trading the products. Regulators also plan to raise the minimum trading unit further, with an adjustment to 20 shares expected before November. Before the rules were introduced, single-stock leveraged ETFs were popular with retail investors. From May 27 to July 30, individual investors bought a net 1.52876 trillion won of the 16 products, including 993.65 billion won in SK Hynix-linked products and 535.11 billion won in Samsung Electronics-linked products.
