Stablecoin Market Projected to Reach $500-600 Billion by 2028

According to BlockBeats, analysts at JPMorgan have reiterated their forecast that the total market capitalization of stablecoins is expected to reach between $500 billion and $600 billion by 2028, rather than hitting the trillion-dollar mark. This year, the stablecoin market has grown by approximately $100 billion, surpassing a total market value of $300 billion. USDT has increased its supply by about $48 billion, while USDC has added approximately $34 billion, contributing significantly to the overall growth. The expansion of stablecoins continues to be driven primarily by activities within the crypto ecosystem. Most of the demand stems from using stablecoins as collateral for cash or cryptocurrency transactions, including derivatives, DeFi lending, and idle funds held by crypto-native companies such as venture capital funds.
