Armenia Extends Cryptocurrency Cash Transaction Regulations Until 2026

According to Odaily, the Armenian government has approved amendments to the Cryptocurrency Asset Law, extending the permission for cash transactions involving cryptocurrencies for another year. The proposal has been submitted to the parliament for review. Under the revised plan, businesses can continue cash transactions until July 2026, but must adhere to strict limitations. Each transaction must not exceed 300,000 drams (approximately $780), and sellers are required to identify customers and record all transactions. The Central Bank of Armenia retains the authority to inspect compliance at any time.
