CAS20 and Jenner Add Token Controls as BNB Chain Develops New L1

BNB Chain announced on X that CAS20 will give token creators standard tools to manage transfer permissions, set how many tokens exist and pause transfers. The post says Jenner adds the underlying capability for these functions. Together, the changes are described as part of continued work on BSC as BNB Chain develops its new L1. CAS20 is presented as the set of tools for creators to control who can transfer tokens, determine the number of tokens that exist and pause transfers. Jenner, in turn, is identified as the capability underlying those controls. The announcement links the CAS20 tools and Jenner’s supporting functionality, describing them together as ongoing development work on BSC in the context of BNB Chain’s new L1. It does not specify a release date or provide further technical details about the upgrade.
