According to Jin10, Saxo Chief Investment Strategist Charu Chanana said in a commentary that it is still too early to declare that the market has entered a bear market after Wall Street fell sharply overnight. She said such declines often reflect investor panic, forced position liquidations and deteriorating market sentiment. Although the selloff has spread across broader markets, the impact is currently concentrated in the artificial intelligence investment cycle, regulatory uncertainty and overly concentrated positions. Chanana said it is more important to watch whether market weakness spreads to corporate earnings, credit conditions, employment and economic growth. She added that an extreme selloff could also create conditions for a market rebound: “Once selling pressure eases, markets may rebound quickly, sometimes even before economic data show a clear improvement.”
