STOCKS | Moscow Refinery Hit in Ukraine's Largest Drone Attack on Russia This Year

A drone attack hit the Moscow refinery as Russia's parliamentary election entered its final day of voting. According to Sina Finance, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said multiple drones struck the refinery area on Sunday, damaging one facility and causing no casualties. Russia's Defense Ministry said air defenses shot down 1,110 Ukrainian drones across 19 regions of Russia and Crimea. According to Sina Finance, it was the largest single-night drone attack reported by Russia so far this year, surpassing the 822 drones recorded in August. The Moscow refinery is owned by Russian oil producer Gazprom Neft and is about 25 kilometers from the Kremlin. According to Sina Finance, the refinery has a daily processing capacity of about 245,000 barrels and is one of the main fuel suppliers in the Moscow region.
