S&P Global today announced an agreement to acquire blockchain security company OpenZeppelin. According to Foresight News, the deal is intended to strengthen S&P Global's capabilities in risk assessment and ecosystem development for digital assets, as well as its ability to create on-chain security assessments and benchmarks.
OpenZeppelin will continue to operate as an independent business unit under the OpenZeppelin name. OpenZeppelin CEO Demian Brener will remain in charge of the business and report to Yann Le Pallec, president of S&P Global Ratings.
