House Committee to Consider Crypto Tax Bill Exempting Fees of $10 or Less

The House Ways and Means Committee will consider legislation that would exempt qualifying crypto network or transaction fees of $10 or less from capital-gains calculations. According to NS3.AI, the markup is scheduled for Wednesday at 10 a.m. Eastern on Sept. 16. The bill would also set tax rules for stablecoins, staking, mining and digital asset trading. It still needs to pass Congress and receive the President's approval before it can become law.
