China's August Crude Oil Output Rises 0.8% as Refining Falls 6.9%

China's National Bureau of Statistics said crude oil output from large industrial enterprises rose 0.8% year on year to 18.43 million tonnes in August, with daily output at 595,000 tonnes, according to Jiemian News. For January-August, crude oil output reached 146.39 million tonnes, up 0.9% from a year earlier. Crude oil processing by large industrial enterprises fell 6.9% in August to 59.07 million tonnes, while daily processing was 1.906 million tonnes. For the first eight months, crude oil processing totaled 456.12 million tonnes, down 6.6% year on year.
