Burnham Urges 'Culture Shift' in UK Business

Andy Burnham said the UK needs a "culture shift" in how it does business ahead of a meeting with some of the country's biggest bosses, according to BBC. He said people taking risks in business should be backed by government, and that local leaders should have more power to work with businesses. Downing Street said Burnham will meet chief executives from BP, Shell, HSBC, Morrisons, Sainsbury's, BT, Vodafone, Rolls-Royce and others at Number 10 on Monday evening. The meeting comes as higher borrowing costs, rising energy prices and concerns over inflation continue to weigh on government support for business and investment.
