STOCKS | U.S. Regulators Probe Nvidia's Licensing Deal With Groq

Two people familiar with the matter said the U.S. Department of Justice is investigating a deal Nvidia reached last year with AI chip maker Groq to determine whether Nvidia tried to avoid antitrust review. According to Sina Finance, Groq described the transaction at the time as a non-exclusive licensing agreement that allowed Nvidia to use chips Groq designed for artificial intelligence computing. As part of the agreement, Groq CEO Jonathan Ross and Chief Operating Officer Sunny Madra joined Nvidia.
