UAE's Marlan Space to Invest $1 Billion in Loft Orbital Satellite Cluster

The United Arab Emirates will invest $1 billion through Marlan Space, a subsidiary of International Holding Company (IHC), in Loft Orbital, a space AI startup founded by French and U.S. partners. According to Odaily, the funding will support a 50-satellite observation cluster equipped with AI capabilities. Loft Orbital plans to process images, video, and measurement data directly in space using AI, rather than sending data back to Earth for analysis. The company said AI agents will identify anomalies and issue alerts within seconds.
