Huamai Technology Warns of Overheated Trading After Shares Close at Limit-Up

Huamai Technology said its shares closed at the daily limit-up price of 18.67 yuan on September 9, 2026, and warned that the stock's recent gains have outpaced the Shanghai Composite Index and other related benchmarks, raising the risk of a pullback from overheated sentiment and irrational speculation, according to Jiemian News. The company said it had reviewed its own operations and noted that the optical fiber theme has drawn strong market attention since 2026, while the release of China's Information and Communication Industry Development 15th Five-Year Plan has also lifted interest in the communications sector. Huamai Technology said its main businesses are wireless communications networks and traditional optical communications products, with revenue from operator networks, communications infrastructure, data centers and computing-power-related areas accounting for only a small share. It added that recent increases in optical cable prices are not sustainable because they are affected by supply and demand, raw materials and competition, and warned that future price declines could affect earnings with uncertain impact.
