A crypto product must appeal not only to users but also to the people responsible for distributing it, according to a post shared by YZi Labs. YZi Labs posted on X.
The post quoted @thecryptoskanda, co-founder of @Hertzflow, who said mechanism design alone is not enough to find product-market fit in crypto.
He argued that in finance, the mechanism is often the product because the rules determine how value, risk, and incentives are distributed. However, even a well-designed mechanism still needs distribution, and if the people distributing it do not see its value, they will not sell it to end users.
The post said the design principle is two-sided: a mechanism that works for users and an incentive structure that works for distribution. It added that this is a long-term challenge for everyone building in crypto.
